Magisterium, The Iron Trail

Read a book that is the first within a series of books.

Title: The Iron Trail
Authors: Holly Black & Cassandra Clare
Date of Publication: September 9th 2014
Genre: Adventure Fiction

For all of his life Callum has been been warned by his father to stay away from magic. If he succeeds the Iron Trial and is admitted into the Magisterium, he is sure it can only mean bad things for him.
So he trys to do his best at doing his worst, and fails and failing.
Now the Magisterium awaits him.

This is my symbol that I created.
I really think that this symbol in a way, sums up what exactly the book is about. The four elements tied together are the four main 'powers' in the book that sets every single student in the Magisterium apart.

Life of Pi

Read a book that has been made into a movie.

Book Title: Life of Pi
Author: Yann Martel
Date of Publication: September 2001
Genre: Realistic Fiction

" After a tragic shipwreck, a solitary lifeboat is left at the mercy of the deep blue Pacific. The only survivors are a 16 year old boy named Pi, a zebra with a broken leg, a hyena, an orang-utan and a 450 pound royal Bengal tiger." (from the back of the movie)

When all that you had before is lost at sea, you need courage.
That is exactly what Pi is looking for when he is stranded on a lifeboat in the middle of the ocean with a tiger named Richard Parker.

Try out this exciting and emotional story to find out if Pi will ever find his way back home. This book really pulls you in and if you                                                           have a sense of adventure pick it up and stick your nose in it for                                                          the ride of your life!

These are my 3 life lessons from my book for the Winter reading                                                      challenge.

                                            1. Never be afraid to be who you are.
                                                    2. Dont let other people stop you from pursuing your dreams.
                                       3. Not everything is as it seems.

Winter Reading Challenge

This year we have been granted the task to complete Winter Reading Challenge.
For this we have to create a blog and meet the criteria needed.
Below is the table that contains some suggestions of what we have to read.
We must read books that meet the criteria.

After I finish reading I will need to complete one task from the table below.
This will be posted with my blog after the review. Each book must have one activity completed to go with it.
